From 1 April 2025
First step to living wage - increase in minimum wage
The minimum wage will be £13.00 per hour from 1 April 2025 in preparation for April 2026, when the minimum wage will be set as two thirds of the 2024 median wage.
Offset rates for food and accommodation
From 1 April 2025, if you provide food and accommodation as part of an employment contract for an employee on the minimum wage, you are entitled to deduct a maximum of £194.60 a week, or £27.80 per day.
If you only provide accommodation, you are entitled to deduct a maximum of £146.02 a week, or £20.86 per day.
Better Business Support Package
If you are a business owner, business director or responsible for making financial and operational decisions and need support, the Government of Jersey has introduced the £20m Better Business Support Package.
Of this fund, £5.3m has been allocated for both 2025 and 2026 to Jersey Business to support employers, in all business sectors, through 50/50 matched grant funding, aimed at enhancing productivity, investing in employee training, and developing new opportunities.
